Make your own "donuts" that will look just as delicious as the real thing!
Materials:
Sponge (any size, any shape)
Scissors
Plate (any kind, but I used a paper plate)
Thick Paper (mine is 80 pound stock paper).
Paint: brown, light tan, or red for the dough, various colors for the frosting and sprinkles)
Small Paint Brush
Steps:
Start by using the scissors to cut down your sponge. You will cut the outside into a circle, then you can use the scissors to dig out the center so it had a hole all the way through.
Put paint onto the plate and let it spread out so that it is bigger than the size of your new donut shaped sponge.
Put you donut sponge onto the paint, but DO NOT press down. If you press, you end up with too much paint. You want a lighter amount of paint on your sponge, as it makes a night texture.
Carefully put your donut sponge paint-side down onto your paper. Don't let it slide. Press down lightly with your hand on the sponge, then lift gently so it doesn't smudge.
Repeat Steps 3-4 as many times as you want, making as many donut prints as you like! Let each of these dry.
Once Dry, use whatever paint you would like to make the frosting and sprinkles as you want! I like to dab this paint on
