A couple of years back, local Broome County residents started painting rocking and placing them around the county for others to find. Sometimes these rocks had pretty paintings on them, and others had words or messages of hope and joy.
I seem them around Broome County still all the time, and it always makes me smile. I think it would be amazing for students at DES to take part in this tradition. If you have the materials, namely some form of paint and whatver smooth rock you can find outside, you can make this project!
I think it would be even cooler to paint some rocks with notes of THANKS, or just some love for our essential workers: people in the healthcare field, truck/shipping/delivery people, grocery store employees, etc.
Imagine walking out of where you work after a long day, head down, tired from your effort, and you spot a rock on the ground saying "THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!" I know it would be a boost to me to see some pretty art after a long day!

Everyone knows that the Primary Colors (you know, the ones that you can blend together to make all the other colors), are Red, Yellow, and Blue, right?
Not Quite...
Check out this website to see how what makes a color Primary all depends on what you're using it for! This one even blew Mr. R's mind!
(hint: Red, Yellow, and Blue are great Primary Colors for paint, but aren't the best when it comes to other things, like light!)
