Evaluation Sessions

General Tips for Sessions

1. Some individuals test rapidly, while others test slowly, so some clients may require additional time to complete testing. Some children may become overly tired and may not be able to provide adequate focus after testing for a period of time. Our goal is to provide a quality assessment, which may require additional time. Additional testing is scheduled as quickly as possible and at a time convenient to our clients. There is no additional charge for evaluations that extend beyond the customary allotted time.

2. Parents are not required to stay during the testing, but a waiting area is provided if they wish. A lunch break is scheduled for designated clients who are scheduled for a full day of testing. The parent or designated guardian will be responsible for taking the child to lunch (unless the child is of driving age and has personal transportation).

Preparations for Evaluations

1. Please make sure the testing client receives adequate sleep the night before testing and is rested for the testing day.

2. Bring a sweater or jacket for the client in case the testing room becomes too cool.

3. Clients may bring a snack, if needed, for break times.

*Additional health and safety protocols will be communicated directly to each client before their appointment.

IMPORTANT: If the client has been prescribed medication for an Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, the medication should be taken as usual on the morning of testing.
