Milestone 1
Customers
Privacy Enthusiast
The average privacy enthusiast already has equipped their home with smart devices to protect their privacy
Many of these customers do not trust products sold by larger corporations, due to the assumption data collection
This stigma pushes them to search products developed by independent groups
In a future were drones invade residential airspace, this group will be among the first to adopt the product
Celebrities/Influencers
The privacy of celebrities and influencers is constantly been under attack and there are even careers designed to invade it
Even today drones are being used to spy on celebrities in their homes and places of work
A trusted mainstream product to combat this would be quickly adopted by the security teams of a celebrity
Existing Ecosystem Providers
Large corporations who already exist in the smart home security space constantly research products or buy companies to fill holes in their ecosystems
E.g. Ring (Amazon), Arlo (previously Netgear)
With the drone threat rising, these types of companies will look for product to be adapted into their existing ecosystem
Customer Needs
Citizens need to have a way to privately protect their airspace if the government does not tighten up regulations.
Smart home security devices will be more and more useful in the future, but there is a tradeoff when considering whether the product itself is invading the privacy of the consumer.
An open source and transparent blanket solution to the increase of drone based surveillance is needed in the market.
