Do you offer virtual or in person sessions?
Both! I offer secure telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in Georgia, and in-person appointments are available through Hawks Nest Counseling, LLC in Lula, Georgia.
Is online therapy as effective as in person?
Research shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person sessions for many people. Telehealth also makes counseling more accessible, especially for clients who have limited transportation, busy schedules, or difficulty finding a therapist nearby. What matters most is the fit with your therapist and your comfort during the session.
What ages do you work with?
I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families.
How long are sessions?
Intake sessions are 50–60 minutes
Individual sessions are 50–55 minutes
Family sessions are 50–55 minutes or 75 minutes (extended)
Assessment sessions are typically around 60 minutes
What are your rates?
Intake: $175
Individual therapy: $150
Family therapy (standard): $175
Family therapy (extended 75 minutes): $250
Assessment services: $150 per session + cost of assessment
A Good Faith Estimate is provided to all private-pay clients.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. I accept the following insurance providers: Carelon Behavioral Health, Aetna, Anthem / Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Cigna, and Quest Behavioral Health. I am happy to verify your benefits before we begin so you know what to expect.
Can I use out-of-network benefits?
Yes. I can provide a superbill upon request. You may submit this to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, and reimbursement is not guaranteed.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Please email, call, or text me through my contact page to set up a free 15-minute consultation.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sessions must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. A session is considered a missed appointment if you arrive more than 15 minutes late with no communication. Late cancellations and missed appointments are billed at the full session rate.
How often will we meet?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly. We will decide together what feels supportive and sustainable for you.
Do you offer crisis services?
I do not provide crisis or emergency services. If you are in crisis, call 911, 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Is telehealth secure?
Yes. Sessions are held through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Please use a private space to help protect your privacy.
Why is therapy expensive?
I understand this concern! Therapy is an investment, especially without insurance. Rates reflect the education, training, time, and ongoing work required to provide safe, ethical, and effective care.
Education and Training
Therapists complete years of graduate training, including internships, exams, and thousands of supervised hours before becoming fully licensed. I’ve also completed a Doctorate in Professional Counseling to further specialize within my areas of expertise.
Continuing Education and Preparation
Outside of sessions, therapists spend time documenting, planning, consulting, and staying current with research. Therapists also regularly pursue advanced trainings. This work supports the quality and consistency of your care.
Practice Costs
Private practice involves many expenses, including HIPAA-compliant platforms, telehealth systems, credit-card fees, marketing, continuing education, supervision, and taxes.
Caseload and Quality of Care
Therapists maintain smaller caseloads to stay present, focused, and effective. This helps prevent burnout and allows for steady, thoughtful work with each client.
If you ever have questions about my rates or want more information, I’m happy to talk it through.
