I hold a Doctorate in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College, a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Writing, Education, and Philosophy from Georgia Southern University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (GA-LPC013571) and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). I have also completed specialized training in trauma treatment, assessment and diagnosis, sand tray therapy, child and adolescent therapy, family counseling, group psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy, crisis intervention, and addiction treatment.
I have nearly a decade of experience across diverse mental health settings, including outpatient clinics, residential treatment, private practice, schools, and both juvenile and adult correctional facilities. This experience allows me to provide evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered care, tailored to each person’s unique goals and challenges. I use evidence-based approaches designed to meet each client’s needs, incorporating techniques from CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and narrative therapy. Sessions are collaborative, focused on your goals, and grounded in trust and respect.
I provide a calm, supportive space where clients can feel heard, understood, and guided toward lasting change. Therapy is collaborative and individualized. I often work with adolescents and adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. Many are used to “holding it together” on the outside while feeling exhausted, disconnected, or weighed down internally. Clients may be navigating addiction, anxiety, trauma, or significant life transitions. Together, we work in a practical and compassionate way to experience more joy, untangle past experiences, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a life that feels more balanced and connected.
I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, understood, and supported rather than judged or rushed. People are capable and resilient, even when those strengths feel difficult to access. My role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, insight, and support as you make intentional changes in your life. I also help clients maintain accountability to their goals, providing gentle structure and encouragement while respecting your personal process.
Therapy is not about “fixing” someone. It’s about understanding yourself, building insight, and reconnecting with what matters most. Healing is a process, and I aim to create a space where it feels accessible, hopeful, and steady.
Mango is my trained therapy dog. Even though many sessions take place virtually, you may get a peek at my beloved golden-retriever. Mango is often nearby, providing calm energy to the therapy space. When clients catch a glimpse of her, they typically share that her presence helps them feel more at ease.
She brings warmth and a touch of joy to the therapeutic environment, even through the screen!
