I am a Counselling Psychology Officer at the South Seberang Perai District Health Office, Ministry of Health Malaysia and a Registered Counsellor (K.B., P.A.) under the Board of Counsellors Malaysia (LKM). My professional work focuses on Islamic-integrative counselling, where I bridge evidence-based psychological interventions with Islamic spiritual principles to support holistic mental well-being
I am the developer of the TR-TAN Integrated Counselling Framework, a doctoral-level, empirically examined intervention model that integrates Reality Therapy and Tazkiyah al-Nafs. This framework has received national and international recognition through multiple innovation awards and serves as a structured model for cultivating self-compassion, psychospiritual resilience, and responsible self-regulation in counselling practice
In parallel, I founded Dar e-Hikmah, a digital mental-health psychoeducation platform designed to expand access to reflective, faith-aligned mental-health learning. The platform aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and Malaysia’s National Mental Health Strategic Framework, and it has been applied within Ministry of Health health-promotion initiatives
My academic and professional interests centre on self-compassion (ihsan kendiri), adolescent and community mental health, Single-Subject Research (SSR) in counselling intervention studies and the development of culturally responsive psychospiritual models within the Malaysian context.

I view counselling as an amanah a professional and ethical trust that requires compassion, clarity and spiritual responsibility. I believe every individual possesses an inherent capacity for growth and healing when supported through a process that honours both psychological needs and spiritual foundations.
My counselling approach integrates Reality Therapy and Choice Theory with Tazkiyah al-Nafs, emphasising self-awareness, personal responsibility, value-based decision-making and inner refinement. Through this integrative process, counselling becomes a guided journey that supports individuals in reconnecting with their fitrah, restoring emotional balance and strengthening spiritual resilience.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselling, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah (UniSHAMS)
Master in Counselling, UniSHAMS (CGPA 3.86)
Bachelor of Shariah (Hons), Kolej Universiti INSANIAH (KUIN) (CGPA 3.53)
My academic pathway combines formal training in Islamic jurisprudence and theology with advanced education in counselling psychology. This dual foundation enables me to conceptualise and develop therapeutic models that are spiritually grounded, culturally responsive and methodologically sound, while remaining aligned with contemporary psychological science.
