Welcome

To the home of the Dragoo Family Association (DFA)--a nonprofit, genealogy association focused on discovering and exchanging information about our ancestors that share the surname Dragoo (or any other spelling variation--Draggoo, Dragaud, Drageau, Drago).

The first Dragaud generation to come to America was undoubtedly Pierre Dragaud II and Elizabeth Tavaud. They were married on November 12, 1699 at the Lord Mayor's Chapel in Bristol England and came to America shortly after their marriage. It is probable that all Dragoos in America after 1701 descend from Pierre and Elizabeth. Pierre's ancestors were French Huguenots who fled to England in the 1680's.

If you would like to learn more about Pierre and other interesting Dragoo family members, we invite you to join the DFA. We are a nonprofit organization with over 200 members who share family histories, documents, stories and our common heritage. Join the fun!

Be sure and read about upcoming reunions which are held every two years. The 2026 reunion will be held in Sacramento Ca and is being planned and updates will roll out as they developed.
