Dr. Shinhee Jeong received her PhD from Texas A&M University (TAMU) in Human Resource Development. Her focal scholarly interest is how to effectively share tacit/explicit knowledge and create new knowledge in the workplace. Her specific areas of research revolve around leadership, interpersonal/social relationships, informal learning, and organizational knowledge creation. Additionally, she has a strong background in quantitative methodology including measurement validation and multi-level/multi-group analyses.
Dr. Jeong serves on a variety of scholarly committees and boards. She is Associate Editor for the Mentoring and Tutoring: Partnership in Learning Journal and a steering committee member for the Quantitative Research Methods special interest group for the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). She also acts as a reviewer and editorial board member for multiple journals including the Leadership & Organization Development Journal and Journal of Workplace Learning. She has received several research awards, most notably, the 2018 Emerald Literati Award and the Cutting-Edge Award at the 2018 AHRD Conference in the Americas. She has also received recognition awards including the Distinguished Honor Graduate Award and the Human Resource Development Graduate Achievement Award at TAMU.
Dr. Jeong has also worked as a training program manager at the Korean Labor Education Institute and as an assistant researcher for more than six years at the Korea Research Institute of Vocational Education and Training in South Korea.
