For this project, I researched an emerging technology called AI-powered cybersecurity. The goal of the project was to explain what the technology is and why it is important, how it affects everyday life, and what risks/benefits are associated with it. I created a PowerPoint presentation that included research, visuals, and speaker notes to explain how artificial intelligence is used to detect and prevent cyber threats.

Why I Chose This Topic?
I chose AI-powered cybersecurity because cyberattacks are becoming more common and more advanced. Since so much personal and professional information is stored online, I wanted to learn how artificial intelligence helps protect digital systems. This topic also connects to real-world technology that businesses, hospitals, and everyday people rely on, which made it interesting and relevant to me because im in healthcare myself.

What I Learned?
Through this project, I learned that AI-powered cybersecurity does not replace human security professionals but instead supports them by improving speed/accuracy. I also learned that while AI can detect threats faster than traditional methods it still has risks such as false alerts and biased data. Understanding both the benefits and limitations helped me see why human oversight is still important for years to come. Overall, this project helped me with improving my research skills and learning how to find and use different academic sources, including articles from the CCBC library smartsearch tool.
