The Windows app suddenly started working on Windows 11. I gave up on it, but gave it a try and it loaded right up. I guess the devs where working on this in the background, but I never had an acknowledgement that they were aware of a problem.
I have read some old posts about this but can't find the solution or workaround. I use a windows laptop with windows 11 - up to date firmware and drivers. I am a crafter and save all the designs on onedrive, the majority come with a transparent background for building up designs. when i'm looking at the images in the software packages I use eg. affinity designer, design space, gimp, inkscape, infanview, they have black backgrounds but when opened they have a transparent background. I also have the same when viewing files using windows explorer. I've tried all the "fixes" that I've seen online but nothing has worked. Please can someone save my sanity and point me in the right direction.

Hey guys new to syncthing and I was able to make connections to my macbook pro and android and they both run in the background no problems. For my pc windows tho it seems like I have to have the exe open all the time. I'm not an expert but it's the black windows with a ton of INFO: and it shows all the transfer and other stuff that running for syncthing. Is there a way to always have syncthing running in the background but not that have the window always opened?
Had the same problem, I had changed the settings of background apps, and it didn't change anything, the same apps were showing in the background and staying, the only way to shut them, was to start them and then shut them, then they would disappear from background.

thanks for the help. The mistake I was making is when you first click on appearance there is a background on thaat page which I had set to white.but I think its refering to text rather than the background of the viewport
Dropbox seems to be stuck in a loop, and opening hundreds of background processes. This consumes all my CPU capacity, then eats at my memory and disk space. See attached pics. There also seem to be windows being automatically opened, as my typing or mouse clicks in other apps is interrupted when the hundreds of background processes are opened. The number seems to level off after about 1650 (about 100 are from other sources; I waited for a few minutes after startup to start the dropbox app, and didn't have too much trouble until I opened other programs that access files on Dropbox).
