"Thank you yet once again for a very special evening of music-making, always of the highest order. I so fully enjoyed hearing all of these heretofore largely neglected musical treasures, all of which were placed into such expressive relief. Without showing undue preference for any of the works on the entire program, your performances of the Boulanger and the blockbuster Bosmans were particularly riveting.
Ekstasis is a most welcome addition to the general artistic community and platform. This artistic collaboration, one that epitomizes the ideal of this genre, furthermore and most significantly, serves a critical purpose for the overall mission of the music department - that associated with recruitment - it materially burnishes the image and high esteem within which the Fredonia SOM is already held.
Having been informed in the program of your future plans (one involving the amplification of national and international exposure: CD’s, and online and in-person lectures and performances), it is apparent and so heart-warming that you are well on your way to establishing Ekstasis as an entity of national and even international significance.
As someone who has been intimately involved with the Fredonia School of Music since my original appointment to the Piano Area in 1963, having attained the rank of Associate Professor of Piano prior to my retirement, I wish you both so well in the continued pursuit of your most worthy professional endeavors and mission through Ekstasis and trust that it (and my associated unsolicited remarks) will yield a greater in-depth perspective and appreciation for your work and for the devotedly long hours of professional engagement involved in this project of such recognized excellence.
I am convinced that the dividends so generated will be of great and perhaps inestimable value both for you personally and for our School of Music."
