The slogan of our laboratory is "Swing-By". The lab is a planet, and the students who belong to the laboratory are spaceships. If the speed of the planet's orbit is slow, i.e., the laboratory is inactive, the energy of the spacecraft will disappear. On the other hand, even if the orbital velocity is sufficient, if the spacecraft is far away from the planet, i.e., if the students are at a distance from the lab, they will not be able to absorb energy from the planet. In order for students to gain energy from the speed of a planet's orbit and sufficiently increase their flight speed through a swing-by, a well-balanced relationship between the lab and the students are necessary. Recently the technological competition in IT has been intensified and the speed of technological innovation is remarkable. Many students in our laboratory will go into such industries in the future, and they must have the ability to respond flexibly to the demands in the forefront. The environment of ISDL will surely contribute to the growth of each person, and the students will be able to feel a sense of growth.
