Figures

In college a took a figure drawing course and I really loved it. Once I graduated I found a local group that would meet and we would draw with a live model. I LOVED it, and it allowed me to practice for my other works as well. I started to experiment with color and I really found my style with charcoal and pastel sticks on toned paper (white paper kicks my butt).  I use a similar approach as I do with my comics where I use one color besides black as the highlight and it has done wonders for me. 

I recently took on a commission for a friend that asked me to draw them as a way to honor and love themselves before a procedure. During this experience I loved feeliin gliek I able to help this individual love themselves and the body they have. I really enjoyed it and I would love to do more projects like this.
