All the pieces are sketched digitally and then put on a light table so that I can draw the final image in ink. They are also painted traditionally with ink with watercolor techniques. The use of one or two colors per print allows for the attention to be directed by the color. It also allows interest on the main focus of each piece. They play with color was an experiment I tried and really ended up liking so I kept it up throughout the rest of my work.

My process for making these pieces is pretty straight forward at least to me. First, I read the book and pick the scenes that I like or that I think would make an interesting comic strip. Second, I make a layout of what the page would look like and then breakdown each panel. Once I have the plan I move to step three with Clip Studio Paint on my comupter and I make a digital sketch that I print off. Fourth, I put the printed image on my light table and do a final pencil sketch. Fifth, I outline and paint the image on paper. Six, I scan it back into the computer to pix up the borders and make prints, andI fix up the original for sale.
Initial sketches that are impossible to interpret. It's basically my first ideas on what I need to make the comic strip make sense. This is the hardest part for me; getting the layout to work is at times complicated.
Final Digital Sketch that is printed so I can draw the final image on the right paper.
Final inked image ready for scan.
