A Sinister Bargain

This letter was found in the dungeon where the party encountered Dark Vincenzo.

Abraxis,

As agreed, seven tributes shall be delivered within three nights of the Blood Moon. As promised, the Blood Ritual has completely severed their link to the Gods; so there should be no concern of being discovered. They should prove more than adequate as sacrifices.

However, do take note of the eighth tribute who will be arriving in a separate cart with his own guard. He is a very capable mage, and to sacrifice someone of his ability would be a great waste. I don't say this often but this is one apprentice that I will rather regret losing. I only part with him because he had come to know too much of our plans, but this shouldn't be a problem for you once you've claimed his mind.

His name is Vincenzo, although I imagine you will have little use for that. He has a remarkable talent for necromancy, and his ability to produce chillingly intelligent undead makes him more than capable of staffing and maintaining an outpost on his own.
