Facilitate discussion on occupational therapy education with current students
On June 15th, I had the opportunity to speak with graduating occupational therapy students from the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. I was one speaker at their presentation on potential career paths to take after graduation. I walked us through the steps that it takes to become a certified and licensed occupational therapist in the United States. This was great review for me too, as much of the information aligned with my next steps after this capstone. At the end of the presentation, I invited interested students to fill out a survey so we can hold an informal charla, where we'll hopefully get to discuss our experiences as occupational therapy students.
A snap-shot of the survey, which I've also shared with second-year occupational therapy students. That way, not only will different experiences be shared, but also, perhaps second-year students will enjoy the opportunity to talk to older peers.
