Dominika Dorincova - Composer and Pianist

The "Fantasia" project is the graduation work by Dominika Dorincova, who completed her composition studies at the Žilina Conservatory with this project. The project was born from the idea of creating something original and unconventional, which had never been seen before in the history of the Žilina Conservatory. A unique concept of a graduation concert.

Dominika created the music, the story was handled by Peter Dorinec and the illustrations were created by Tadeáš Charwot, a Czech artist, animator and illustrator with whom Dominika collaborated in the past on his project of the short animated film "Pigeon House"

Storyline
The story of the great courage of the boy Dimo, who sets out to save his beloved country from eternal winter sleep. Many obstacles and a terrifying winter dragon await him on the way. But his determination is great. Can Dimo save the world?

World premiere at the Fatra Art House in Žilina!

On April 18, 2024, the world premiere of her orchestral piece "Fantasia per orchestra d'archi, pianoforte, percussioni e proiezione" was performed at the Fatra Art House under the baton of conductor Pavol Tužinský and the Symphony Orchestra Žilina Conservatory.

The composition received favorable responses from the audience in the form of a several-minute standing ovation. To this day, it is one of Dominika's most successful compositions.
