Dominika Dorincova - Composer and Pianist

The composition "Dreams" was created for the project "HF JAMU - RC The Hague Connections". "HF JAMU - RC The Hague Connections" is an international project created between the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. As part of this project, 6 world premieres by 6 young composers of different nationalities (composition students) were performed in both cities - in Brno (Czech Republic) and The Hague (Netherlands). In the summer of 2023, Dominika was commissioned to compose a piece for the following cast: flute, oboe, bass clarinet, vibraphone, piano, violin. On February 9, her composition "Dreams" had its world premiere in Brno, performed by students from Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and Royal Conservatory of The Hague. The Dutch premiere took place a week later - on February 16 in The Hague.

The following were involved in this project: Matěj Voda (conductor), Petra Valtellina (flute), Mafalda Silva (oboe), Miguel Pissarra Correia Pinto Varela (vibraphone), Adam Závodský (piano), Martin Janál (violin - world premiere in Brno), Femke Chu (violin - Dutch premiere in The Hague).

"Dreams" in Slovakia and again in Brno!
"Dreams" had its Slovak premiere on April 24 in Žilina in the concert hall of the Žilina Conservatory.

It was performed by students and teachers of the Conservatory in Žilina: Matúš Vlžák (conductor), Mgr. art. Miroslav Hanáček ArtD. (flute), Kristina Muchová (oboe), Mgr. art. Mgr. Anna Brezániová (clarinet), Radovan Vittek (vibraphone), Mgr. art. Michaela Žišková (piano), Rastislav Kaličák (violin)

"Dreams" was heard once again in Brno on May 10, 2024, but this time in the Divadlo na Orlí (Orlí Theater), performed by students of the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts and the Conservatory in Brno: Matěj Voda (conductor), Nikol Kuchařová, (flute), Lucie Svobodová (oboe), Natálie Hrdová (clarinet), Lukáš Müller (vibraphone), Marek Peňáz (piano), Hana Jasanská (violin)

Award
In June 2024, Dominika won the Bronze Award at the Premier Music International Competition Pro in the composition category for the composition "Dreams".

The composition "Dreams" was favorably evaluated by internationally successful composers and musicians such as Trevor Grahl (Canadian composer), Charles Mauleverer (British composer), Dániel Bolgár (Hungarian percussionist) and Clara Bystrand (Swedish lyric-dramatic soprano).
