Dominika Dorincova

Dominika Dorincova is a Slovak composer and pianist born in 1999 based in Poznań (PL)/Brno (CZ).

Studies
Dominika showed interest in music at a relatively young age - at the age of 4 she started attending singing lessons in the children's singing and dancing ensemble TIP - TOP in Považská Bystrica, at the age of 10 she started taking piano lessons (under the guidance of piano teacher Elena Lendelová) and at the age of 13 she started composing her first compositions. At the age of 13, after successfully passing the entrance exams, she became a student in a class for exceptionally gifted students at the Žilina Conservatory.
She studied piano (under the guidance of professor Michael Berki) and composition (under the guidance of the Slovak composer Peter Špilák) at the Žilina Conservatory, Slovakia. She finished her composition studies with a graduation concert at the Fatra House of Arts in Žilina, where her orchestral composition "Fantasia per orchestra d'archi, pianoforte, percussioni e proiezione" was performed under the baton of conductor Pavol Tužinský and the Symphony Orchestra of the Žilina Conservatory. She is currently studying composition of scenic and film music (under the guidance of the Czech composers Zbyněk Matejů and Dan Dlouhý) at the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts in Brno, Czech Republic. In the academic year 2025/2026, Dominika is studying at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań as part of the Erasmus Plus program (under the guidance of Professor Zbigniew Kozub).

Debut album - Italy

In the summer of 2020, she recorded her debut album in Italy and signed her first recording contract with the Italian music label "Trees Music Studio". On November 27, 2020, she released her debut piano album "Forever in my Heart", which received a lot of positive feedback from several countries in the world, but also many positive reviews from internationally successful composers.
Compositions from the album "Forever in my Heart" could also be heard on the radios in Berlin, Sicily and on the Bratislava radio Devín.
The album is available on all major streaming platforms and also on CD.

Awards and concerts

In May 2015, Dominika won the 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition "Klavírna Orava Kláry Havlíkovej" in Dolný Kubín as part of the Ivan Ballo International Music Festival.

In June 2019, she became the winner of the Považská Bystrica Young Talent competition in the music and dance category.

In November 2021, she received an Honorable mention at the international composition competition InterComp, which was organized by the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia.

In June 2024, Dominika received a scholarship for the academic year 2024/2025 from the Czech Music Fund Foundation.

In July 2024, she won the Bronze Award in the Premier Music International Competition Pro for the composition "Dreams" for flute, oboe, bass clarinet, vibraphone, piano and violin.

In December 2024, she won the Second Prize in the 2nd International Composition Competition InterComp organized by Academy of Art in Banská Bystrica for the composition "ILLUSIONS" for flute, violin, cello and piano.

Her music was heard during various projects in Italy (Cava de Tirreni), Czech Republic (Brno, Horní Jelení, Králíky), Slovakia (Bratislava, Považská Bystrica, Žilina, Ivanka pri Dunaji), Florida, USA (Cocoa Beach), Netherlands (The Hague).
