the Efficient modelling of individual animal movement in continuous time

We have demonstrated the FInCH approach as a better approximation of the exact inference of the InCH approach than existing equivalent discrete-time approaches for spatially homogeneous data. We have also shown that the FInCH approach is more than able to compete with its discrete-time counterparts in terms of efficiency. This paper is in preparation (Grainger & Blackwell, 2024).
