In rated games, both the player's and opponent's ratings (rank) change depending on the results, and wins and losses are also counted in the cumulative record. The handicap is only even, and the time rule pattern is selected from the following 4 types.

The number on the right side indicates the impact on rates. The longer the basic time rule, the greater the rate fluctuation due to the result.

In non-rated games, the result does not affect the rating (rank). Various rules can be realized by combining handicap, basic time, and "byoyomi". In handicap games, the player who sets the rules always play as a superior player.

In 10-sec shogi, Goro-Goro, Mini Shogi, Dobutsu, and Kyoto Shogi, there is a point system called "EXP system". If you win, you will earn 3 to 5 points, and if you lose, you will earn 1 point, and your rank starting with "EGG" will increase. However, games that end in an extremely short number of moves will not be counted. Also, in games other than 10-sec shogi, games with a basic time of 0 minutes and a byo-yomi of less than 30 seconds will not be counted.(Source
