Based on the guidelines set out by Ontario's Ministry of Health, a standard OHIP-covered house call consists of the following criteria:
1 presenting issue for the physician to address;
Is 8-12 minutes in length;
If required, one family member can function as the spokesperson in regard to the patient's condition.
