Building Pathways is a pre-apprenticeship program designed to support residents of Suffolk, Norfolk, and Middlesex counties get training in the construction industry. It is a free training program. Building Pathways' goals are to help participants learn about the industry, practice hands-on skills, and compete for apprenticeship program openings or jobs.
Community Works is a state-registered pre-apprenticeship program, free to trainees, and is available to anyone looking to get into the building trades in Western Massachusetts. Community Works runs one 9-week training class a year, from the end of February to the end of April. Applications are typically due by the end of January.
The Skilled Purpose program offers hands-on trades training for individuals in recovery from substance use disorder of those reentering society after incarceration. They provide practical carpentry skills and job placement support. The program is located in South Yarmouth, MA.
