Boston Central's web page is updated regularly with fun activities across the Commonwealth, although most are primarily in the Boston area.
The Highland Street Foundation offers Free Fun Fridays. Free Fun Fridays is a list of participating zoos, museums, and other family friendly places that offer free admission on a given weekend over the summer months.
The Massachusetts Audubon Society offers outdoor, nature-based family friendly ideas. Find a local nature play area or check out their program offerings for kids.

Check out your local library for kid friendly activities. Public libraries offer read alouds, mini concerts, tutoring and homework help, and more for kids of all ages. Go to your local library's web page to find out what kinds of activities yours has to offer.
Check Out Your Local Recreation Department
Many cities and towns have a Recreation Department. The Recreation Department has programs for school aged children in sports, arts & crafts, and nature activities. Many of their programs are offered at reduced or no cost.
