For this revision, I wanted to improve upon our leading minds poster. After doing a gallery walk of all the other posters, I felt like ours was too simple and needed more information so I decided to revise it. I didn't have access to poster paper so I made the new poster digital. In my revision, I formatted the information as a timeline because I wanted to highlight King's most important events and because I felt like our original poster didn't really have a structure to it: it was hard to determine in which order you were supposed to read the information. Additionally, in our original poster, we avoided putting more than a few words on the page so it didn't require a lot of reading. However, this may have made it difficult for the audience to understand these events and their details. In my new poster, I added a brief description that quickly informed the audience about the details of each event. These changes reflect my growth because I learned more about design elements and how to best capture the interest of your audience visually. Not only that but this assignment taught me more about MLK and his leadership qualities, some of which I may also want to try.
