Dependent on an Informed Citizenry
Listening to neighbors: On arriving as an immigrant during President Carter's presidency, the influence and struggles of the Executive in American life became evident first in actions but truly defined by language delivered in PUBLIC channels and press conferences by their poor usage though forthright. Carter proved more conservative via his White House Diary. Ronald Reagan introduced the notion of news in a democracy by multiple channels as cable quickly evolved. Bush 41's smooth deliveries were absent the first personal pronoun from a podium during press conferences which made a lasting impression to this day; his son is the president I relate most now, with lessons learned since, because of the relentless events that followed the inauguration and culminated with a great depression brought on by the digital innovation and which he struggled on two war fronts that engaged our attention--despite his reading habit that is familiar to older generations. With Biden, my writing came of age by a sense that the relationship with the First Lady can combine with the President's effectiveness. And With President Trump, the young talent who takes on great responsibilities is revealed to me in his Executive Orders. That language in these latest orders prevail an impression in my mind of a discipline that ought to be familiar to a reader unrelated to any administration but helpful to a citizen who must gain understanding by his own skill. President Trump's evolving communication reveals a new talent in the President's office that arose geared for the planetary presence on all four corners based on a rejection of combined trade deals--as I read it. The .gov domain was inaugurated by Clinton and is a good source of information while a section within The White House page that writes to our "Futurity" might influence one's sense of America today.
Looking ahead, I realize it is difficult for me to think of the Democratic Party, while the Constitutional nature so embedded in the American character looks to the young talent now engaged with the President. With Viking landing on Mars on July 1976 to inaugurate the Third Century of Independence, the frontier opens again.
