Daily prayer to begin and end the school day will occur in all classes.
Grace will be said before meals.
8th Grade students will record "Drop Everything and Pray" segments to be shown at random times during "live" lessons.
Students will be encouraged to create a "prayer corner" at home.
Livestream School Masses will be held monthly and on Feast Days.
All Holy Days of Obligation will be observed and celebrated.
Daily Religion class is required and will be held live.
Teachers will utilize discussions on the liturgical season, Gospel readings for the week, Feast Days, lives of saints, prayer, church history, and will review parts of the Mass.
Teachers utilize the Diocese of Stockton standards for Religion to plan lessons.
In kindergarten the curriculum is from RCL Benziger, "Faith First" and in grades 1-8, RCL Benziger, "Be My Disciples."
Pflaum Weekly Gospels are also used in some grades.
Students begin the process of religious education for sacraments in first grade to prepare for First Penance and First Holy Communion in the 2nd grade. The "Blessed" curriculum is utilized.
Students begin the process of religious education for sacraments in sixth grade to prepare for Confirmation in 8th grade. The RCL Benziger Confirmation curriculum is utilized.
Students are encouraged to receive the sacrament of penance when the parish schedules it. This will be emphasized during Advent and Lent.
