Welcome!
This website was created to provide teachers of second and foreign languages with information regarding plurilingualism as a pedagogical approach that can be implemented in the second language classroom. There is a common misconception that a child's first language should not be used in the second language learning classroom. Nevertheless, it has been said that a student's first language can be used to guide him or her when learning another language and helps make connections between languages. Language should therefore not be taught in isolation, which is why languages spoken by our students should be embraced within the second language classroom to facilitate learning.
