The goal of this circuit was to light up an LED if requirements were met to be ready for college. The variables were taking the SAT or ACT, and either taking Geology or Psychology classes. To the left, our simulation shows that the LED would light up if these actions were taken to prepare for college. The battery powers the switches, which led to two OR gates (regarding the SAT & ACT and Geology & Psychology). Then, the outputs of the OR gates go to an AND gate, which determines whether the LED lights up or not.
Here is our physical circuit. As you can see, with the switches the LED lights up through the OR gates and AND gate because the student is prepared for college through the steps taken. The breadboard is connected with a multitude of wires and is powered by the battery.
