Week 3: Computer and Mechanical Engineering
This week we covered the disciplines of Computer and Mechanical Engineering.
Computer Engineering blends electrical engineering and computer science to design, build, and test computer hardware (like microchips and circuit boards) and low-level software. Computer engineers create the physical components of modern electronics, ensuring hardware and software integrate seamlessly to power everything from smartphones to robotics.
Mechanical Engineering applies physics and mathematics to design, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems and moving parts. Mechanical engineers work on everything from tiny gears and sensors to massive vehicles and wind turbines, focusing on turning concepts into safe, efficient physical products that manage force and energy.
