DILG Central Luzon conducted Wellness Matters: Building a Health-Conscious and Family-Responsible Workforce on July 8, 2026, which brought together employees for a meaningful discussion on responsible parenthood, healthy living, and family well-being.
In his welcome message, Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO IV, emphasized that the activity is part of DILG Region IIIโs commitment to employee welfare and Gender and Development initiatives. โOur greatest asset is not our equipment, our offices, or our systems - it is our peopleโ, he said.
Through the presentations of the personnel from the City Health Office of the City of San Fernando Princess Ann Fedelicio, Charina Puno and Nenita Vital, participants gained valuable insights on the importance of family planning, building stronger parent-child relationships, safe sex practices, modern artificial family planning methods, and HIV and AIDS awareness. The session also highlighted proper nutrition through the Go, Glow, Grow concept using the Pilipinong Pinggan as a guide to balanced meals.
Through initiatives like this, DILG Region III continues to foster a healthy, informed, and family-friendly workplace by empowering its personnel with knowledge that promotes healthier lifestyles, stronger family relationships, and more resilient communities.

As part of DILG Region IIIโs support for the 2026 National Womenโs Month Celebration, anchored on the theme โLead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!โ, DILG Region III conducted a webinar titled โHealthy Workload, Healthy Workforce: Supporting Workplace Mental Healthโ on March 16, 2026.
Facilitated by DS II Rhon Sydney S. Salunga, RPm, the session highlighted the importance of understanding workplace mental health, examining the impact of workload on employee well-being, and exploring ways to create a healthier and more supportive work environment. Participants were also introduced to practical strategies to strengthen mental wellness in the workplace.
Through this activity, DILG Region III reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a healthy, balanced, and supportive work environment, recognizing that empowered and mentally well employees are essential in delivering better public service.
The saying "it takes a village to raise a child" was the central theme during the 2025 Child-friendly Local Governance Audit- Regional Inter-Agency Monitoring Taskforce (RIMTF) Exit Conference held on May 5, 2025, at the DILG RO3.
One of the highlights of the activity was the discussion of strategies for next year's implementation. The RIMTF then identified and discussed rooms for improvement and agreed to submit some recommendations to the National IMTF and CWC for their consideration.
