DILG Central Luzon proudly underwent the Gender and Development (GAD) Seal On-Site Validation today, September 29, 2025 at the DILG Regional Office III, a major step in affirming its commitment to advancing gender equality and womenโs empowerment in local governance.
The on-site validation, led by DILG Under Undersecretary for Public Affairs and Communications Rolando C. Puno, Assistant Secretary for Community Participation Elizabeth N. Lopez De Leon and members of the DILG National Assessment Committee, assessed the Regionโs programs, systems, and initiatives to ensure compliance with the standards of the GAD Seal Certification Program.ย
In his message, Assistant Regional Director Jay E. Timbreza, CESO IV expressed his gratitude to the validators and reaffirmed the Regionโs strong commitment to upholding gender sensitivity in all aspects of governance. โThis activity is more than just an evaluation.ย It is an opportunity for us to showcase the milestones we have achieved, the innovative practices we have implemented, and the lessons we continue to learn in mainstreaming gender in governanceโ ARD Timbreza said.
DILG Central Luzon remains committed in championing transparency, accountability, and gender equality. Through the GAD Seal, the Department reaffirms its promise that every Juan and Juana in Central Luzon truly feels the impact of good local governance.
