Task 2 (listening).
There are many songs that have gained their popularity through video platforms, social media, movies, and serials.
We have prepared one composition for you.
📍Listen to the song, fill in the gaps, write out the translation of missing words/phrases using online dictionaries.
📍Answer the questions:
What emotions does a song express?
What makes the lyrics catchy?
How do slang and informal expressions influence their popularity?

📍Learn useful words and expressions in popular foreign songs in the presentation.

Task 5 (work in pairs).
📍Select a popular English song and create a worksheet that will allow you to analyze the lyrics. You can divide the work with the lyrics into several parts: filling in the gaps, sentence order, choosing the right word etc.
Examples of songs: "Like it was", "Another Love", "Sweater Weather" etc.
📍Choose a song in English that you like and find 5 new words or phrases from the lyrics.
Write the word/phrase, its meaning, and an example sentence using it.
Example:
"Hold on" – to wait or stay strong in a difficult situation.
"Even when things are tough, I always try to hold on and stay positive."
