Our High School Careers and Technical Education Program (HS CTE) prepares scholars for college and career readiness. We achieve our goals by focusing on four core curriculum aspects:

Graduation Requirements
Our HS CTE program is a 26-credit graduation equivalent program that is aligned according to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) Standards. To earn credits and graduate scholars are required to complete all coursework requirements, upon successful completion scholars will be awarded their diploma (we do not have graduation fees).
Course Descriptions
1101 CD Culture & Diversity provides scholars with foundational aspects of how engineering has advanced our culture and shaped our ethics
1101 DA Digital Arts provides scholars with foundational aspects of designing digital art and to understand how we as people interact socially in an effort to become critical thinkers that can solve some of the problems affecting our society
1101 PL Program Language provides scholars with the foundational aspects of technology operations, program language and engineering necessary to begin networking online
1101 THW Tech Health & Wellness provides scholars with foundational methods of computer science as well as learn how to manage their personal health in a tech advanced career
1101 M Mathematics provides scholars with foundational and contemporary mathematical problem solving skills and illustrates how science, technology, engineering and math work together
1101 ELA English Language Arts provides the literacy and writing for English 1st language and English second language learners (ESL) scholars as well as illustrates how ELA and STEM collaborate consistently
1101 STEM Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) provides scholars with foundational aspects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to make connections between various subjects, develop cognitive critical thinking and problem-solving skills
1101 OL Online Learning Experience provides scholars with technology networking experience, conducting internships online as well as organizing, designing and building online projects
1101 BF Budgeting & Finance provides scholars with foundational strategies to manage their income in a digital world, to advance problem solving skills and obtain a business acumen
HS CTE Labs
HS CTE Labs are for grade levels 9-11 , they are designed to provide scholars with additional time to conceptualize and work on their various projects during the school day. We provide the following labs for our scholars:

Internships and Externship
Sound Engineering Research Internship prepare scholars who are interested in enrolling in our adult education Sound Engineering Internship and Externship Programs
Civil Engineering Research Internship and Externship prepare scholars who are interested in enrolling in our adult education Civil Engineering Internship and Externship Program
Scientist Internship Program is for scholars who are interested in having a career in Science
Medical Lab Assistant (MLA) Internship is for scholars who are interested in having a career in a laboratory setting
Healthcare Research Internship is an independent online study program that guides our scholars in learning how to master conducting healthcare research online
1101 STEM Course
Scholars to familiarize yourself with independent learning in an effort to prepare you for 12th grade, you will spend your 11th grade year facilitating your own learning
This means that you will be provided with your STEM course unit plan and weekly lesson plans for the first semester to aid you in the engineering of your capstone project.
You are required to generate and design your course folder using Google Drive and share your folder with me via email.
All activities must be completed using google docs, save your answers as a PDF titled with your first and last name and title of the topic, then place your PDF in your STEM course folder daily as this will serve as your daily attendance
