DTAD-Prep is our Digital Thought and Design Online Middle School for scholars' grades 7th and 8th. It is here that we prepare scholars to attend our HS CTE Program by providing the necessary academic fundamentals at age levels in which scholars can conceptualize and retain information. Our technology-based approach prepares scholars to operate computerized machinery independently and safely.

About Our Educators
Our Educators follow provided topic guidelines to develop academic learning materials for scholars to complete during a specified time block daily. Content topics vary in length from 1-week to 12-weeks providing our scholars multiple attempts to display mastery.
Diverse Learners
Diverse Learners are individuals from any cultural background that are in need of additional assistance and accommodations to assist them due to cognitive exceptionalities that include but are not limited to ADD, ADHD, Autism, Aspergers, Anxiety, Depression, Dyslexia, Mania, Neurodivergence etc. Diverse Learners click here
Course Descriptions
ELA - Our English Language Arts Courses are where scholars will learn how to apply vocabulary correctly, write using punctuation, read text closely and begin developing their writing style
STEM - Our Science Technology Engineering Mathematics courses are where scholars will learn about science, scientist contributions, conduct research, write lab reports using technology, engineer projects and reinforce previously taught math skills
Mathematics - Our Mathematics Courses are where scholars will learn the basic fundamental of solving mathematical problems
World History - Our World History Courses are where scholars learn about our US States & Presidents, cultures from around the world and how we work together, judicial law, American History and World Millennial History
Electives
To ensure that our scholars are culturally aware we provide electives in the form of Art Appreciation and Music Appreciation in which scholars will independently engage in activities using free mobile applications. they also have the option to finish any missing assignments during music appreciation. Scholars will be provided with a timer to track their time for electives. Click here to access course resources

Be sure that your scholar has mastered content aspects according to our recommended Primary School Education Guide
Familiarize your scholar with operating technology i.e. smartphone, tablet, laptop/desktop
Practice writing in complete sentences
Practice typing sentences using google docs
Provide a short task for them to do independently online and check their results
Do not punish scholars for incorrect answers
In 5th and 6th grade practice using email safely by sending an appropriate email and show them how to respond and send a reply
