Netiquette is etiquette, or good manners, on the internet. It is the correct and excepted way we communicate with others on social media outlets, emails, and other internet platforms. Teachers and parents should model expectations and rules, have conversations about appropriate treatment of others, and monitor students/children while online.
The following video shows how a teacher implemented a Common Sense- Digital Citizenship Program lesson into her own classroom. The students learned the netiquette of how to write an email. Click to watch!

Cyberbullying is using social media, text messages, emails, and other electronic means to bully others. Students should learn how to combat bullying on the internet.
STOP, BLOCK, SAVE, TELL: Stop using the electronic platform in which the bullying is happening, block the bullies, save the message/post, tell and show a trusted adult about the bullying.
Teachers and Parents have a responsibility to set clear rules and expectations for their students'/children's treatment of others on the internet.
