Netiquette are the rules of etiquette that apply when communicating over computer networks, especially the Internet. (Netiquette, 2018)
Cyber-bullying is the use of technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, or target another person (Hirsch, 2014). There are various types of cyber-bullying which can be found in the video above. Cyber-bullying can happen accidentally through certain messages or pictures because it can be taken the wrong way. By blocking the bully and limiting the amount of time you are using technology, you can lessen the chances of getting cyber-bullied. Cyber-bullying is taken very seriously and as an adult there is the possibility that you may face jail time for cyber-harassment or cyber-stalking (Hirsch, 2014). The best way to prevent yourself from cyber-bullying others is by thinking about how the other person may feel about what you are about to send or post. This is why it is so important that you use good netiquette when using technology because it lessons the chances of you cyber-bullying others and hurting others feelings.
