When I first got on FeetFinder, I thought the whole battle was just gonna be, like... figuring out lighting, taking decent pics, and actually getting people to follow me. And everyone talks about how much cash you can make on custom requests, right? Like custom videos, specific polish colors, outfits, or weirdly specific things like walking barefoot in the grass or splashing around in puddles. Naturally, I was super hyped and just dived right in because that’s where the real money is.
But wow. Looking back, I was so incredibly naive.
The second scammers smell blood in the water—like, they know exactly who the newbies are—they swoop in. And when you're desperate to make rent or just excited to see some profit, your brain just completely turns off the red flag radar. You want it to be real so bad. I almost got burned so many times, it’s embarrassing.
Rule number one that I learned the hard way? Never, ever, EVER send a custom video or photo before you see the money. I don't care how nice they sound, how "professional" they act, or how much they promise to tip you afterwards. They will give you this whole sob story or big pitch, you send the file, and boom. Ghosted. Blocking you. No money, no replies, nothing. You just gave away your labor for free.
Another classic move is when they try to get you off the app. They're always like "Oh babe let's move to Snap or Telegram, it's easier," or "Let me just Cash App you so the site doesn't take a cut." DO NOT DO IT. It’s a trap lol. The minute you leave the platform, you have zero backup. If they screw you over, the site support can't do anything to help you.
Oh, and the fake payment scripts? Hilarious now, but terrifying then. I had one person try the whole "Oh no I accidentally sent you $500 instead of $50, can you refund me the difference?" trick. Or the ones who say you have to pay some random "activation fee" to receive a payout. Total BS. Real buyers and real platforms do not operate like that.
So yeah, now I am a total stickler about my workflow. If someone wants a custom, we do it strictly through the official custom request on feetfinder button on the site. No exceptions. I make sure everything and I mean everything is spelled out in writing before I even touch my camera. Exactly what they want, the price, the length, everything.
And the golden rule: I do not start filming until the app says the payment is secured. Period.
Seriously, if you're new, please listen to that. It saves so much heartbreak.
Once the money is locked down in escrow, then I'll shoot the content and upload it right through the secure order page. It keeps everything in one place and honestly just lets me sleep at night.
Don't get me wrong, custom content are amazing and definitely where the best money is at, but you absolutely have to watch your own back. Being creative is great and all, but learning how to say "No" and setting hard boundaries is like... 80% of the job. Scammers rely on you being too shy or too eager to please. Protect your time, protect your content, and don't let anyone rush you into a bad spot.
