Professional Training

Description: Develop material to support and train researchers and support staff in best practices for data in the context of the chemistry domain. Outcomes will articulate benefits of sharing research data and provide examples of how best to publish data, to researchers themselves and the broader research community. Integrating digital tools for managing, processing, analyzing, visualizing, and publishing research data and information into training is an effective approach to cultivate sharing practices and culture. Inspired by the successful Carpentries series (e.g., Software Carpentry, Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry, Author Carpentry, etc.), this working group aims at developing use case-based learning modules that apply to a variety of chemistry research workflows.
