JCAMP-DX Update

Description: JCAMP-DX is a standard for spectroscopic data which was developed starting in the late 1980s. It has undergone a number of enhancements to address new instrumentation needs, as well as extensions to new spectroscopic methods. Details on the existing standard can be found at http://www.jcamp-dx.org/. Over the years, vendors have added custom extensions for their own instruments, and new metadata standards, such as ORCIDs and InChIs have been developed. This working group will develop an updated JCAMP-DX standard that attempts to leverage the custom extensions and incorporate new metadata from the scholarly communication ecosystem.
