NMR/Spectra Repositories

Description: As researchers are presented with pressure to publish and share their research data, and as funders and publishers establish guidelines for publication of data for funded research and for journal articles, many generic repositories have been developed. Some of these are commercial repositories, some are funded by the agencies themselves, and some are developed to support researchers within an academic community. To fully make use of the published research data, domain-specific repositories, or at least domain-specific data and metadata requirements need to be established. Strategies for validating and curating the data must also be considered. NMR spectroscopy is a technique which has grown in importance for structure characterization as a result of innovations in instrumentation. This working group will consider those requirements for NMR, and other spectroscopic, repositories to provide for sustainability, curation of both data and metadata, preservation, and reusability.
