Since all of my students could use focused word study on these three types of words I stop my traditional differentiated leveled lists and do them whole class--kind of. Although the entire class is studying the same concept, they might have a different set of words. On Monday they take a pretest of words from List A. I check the pretest and assign students to a list. If they have all or nearly all of the words correct on the pretest they work with List B.
