Realistic Real-Time Rendering
We integrated a motion-controlled camera robot with game engines to achieve renderings in real-time. More specifically, we implemented a socket communication to perform two main tasks:
to command the movements of the robot based on a virtual camera
to command a virtual camera based on robot movements
The main goal of this project was to provide a faster pipeline for virtual productions where you have actors in a chroma-key studio and the background would be replaced by virtual graphics. Our proposal eliminated the need for post-rendering, as well as offering the ability to view the final footage during the recording phase.
