Classes focus on comprehension-based communicative language teaching, with an emphasis on purposeful discussions & tasks, and leading with your comprehension as the basis for language growth.
This fall, I'm planning around units with the theme "Who am I?" and learning about & comparing our lives & experiences to some people in a province of China where I lived longest, Yunnan Province. I'll adapt these lessons for the very beginning class up through the experienced class — what we'll talk about will adjust to the proficiency level, interests, and contributions of the people in the group!
