  • Have the students grab a piece of construction paper of their choice. Located XX

  • Pass scissors to the students after they have collected their papers( both construction and vocabulary worksheet.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • I am asking for them to match the vocabulary word to the definition/picture neatly.

  • they will have 25 mins to complete this.

After the students are done with their independent work, Here is the next part of the lesson plan, this is a plate tectonics video.

  • Pull up the video and have the student answer these 3 questions before starting the video. ( they will turn these in with you )

  1. What are some natural disasters that change Earth’s surface?

  2. How do you think mountains are formed?

  3. why is it important for scientists to study plate tectonics?

Have them write these 3 questions on the other side of the paper, and while the video is playing have them take at least 4 notes of the video. After the video have them answer the questions after the video.
