Clap Finder – Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Android app "Clap Finder"
(package: com.diamonddave.clapfinder), published on Google Play by
the developer diamond-dave. Contact: davedvlee@gmail.com
1. Microphone
Clap Finder uses the microphone only while listening is turned on, to
detect claps or whistles. Audio is analyzed in real time on your device.
It is never recorded, stored, or sent off the device. A notification is
shown the whole time the microphone is in use.
2. Data collected by third-party services
The app uses the following Google services, which collect data under
their own policies:
- Google AdMob (ads): advertising ID, device and app information,
approximate location derived from IP address, ad interactions.
- Firebase Analytics: app usage events (for example screens viewed and
whether listening was started), device and app information.
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash logs and diagnostic information.
This data is used to show ads, understand app usage, and fix crashes.
We do not sell personal data. Data is encrypted in transit.

3. Consent and choices
Users in the EEA and UK are asked for consent before personalized ads
are shown, and can change their choice from "Privacy options" in the
app. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
4. Data retention and deletion
We do not keep any account or personal profile. To request deletion of
analytics or crash data linked to your device, email
davedvlee@gmail.com; we will process requests within 30 days.
5. Children
Clap Finder is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly
collect data from them.
6. Changes
Updates to this policy will be posted on this page with a new effective
date.
