Leadership Development Training and Public Speaking

The need for effective leadership across all industries has never been more important.  From serving as a C suite corporate leader, to a leader of a clinical care team, to a business leader in other types of entities, effective, credible and accountable leadership unlocks the performance potential of your organization’s most valuable asset – its human capital. Yet, the skills necessary for this type of empowering leadership are not well understood and, in fact, are often lacking in organizational leadership today.  This gap leaves many leaders – including the most senior executives – wholly unprepared for the responsibilities and challenges of their roles and incapable of effectively guiding their teams and organizations through increasingly complex situations.  As a result, individual and organizational failures have become all too common. 

DBS offers leadership development training designed to instruct on what it takes to be an effective, credible and accountable leader – one who inspires and leads with human values.  The various course modules are organized to reflect the important progression of focus from internal to external.  The course begins with a discussion of self-awareness and self-reflection and progresses through the attributes of leaders who demonstrate excellence in leading teams, and who understand their role in driving organizational culture.  The course covers the topics most important to effective leadership, including self-reflection and self-awareness, character in leadership, strategy and critical thinking, effective communications (including crisis communications), power and politics, change management, psychological safety, diversity and inclusion, resilience and mindfulness, and leading with compassion.

This training can be customized for each individual organization so that the training is tailored to unique needs.

Ms. Di Benedetto is a frequent speaker on topics related to effective, values driven leadership, and has presented for a variety of organizations including, but not limited to, the American College of Health Care Executives, the California Association of Healthcare Leaders, J.P. Morgan Healthcare Advisory Council, the Healthcare Financial Management Association Womens’ Conference, the Consero Leadership Development Institute, the Consero Healthcare General Counsel Forum, the Sutter Health Leadership Academy, the Sutter Health Administrative Fellow and Summer Intern Programs, the Sutter Roseville Medical Center Graduate Medical Education Program and in several private business entities.

Ms. Di Benedetto also lectures on topics related to health care law and management and served as an adjunct lecturer at the University of California, Davis, King Hall School of Law, and the graduate MPH. MBA and MHA programs at Chapman University, the University of San Francisco and Golden Gate University.
