Nuestro nombre y el símbolo

En un reciente peregrinaje por las montañas de Colombia he inspirados en los proyectos en marcha al igual que los ya culminados, surgió el nombre Dharma Roots, Raíces del Dharma, con la intención de volver a las raíces ancestrales de los linajes legítimos y acceder a la sabiduría que está guardada allí para alcanzar la mas alta realización: la iluminación.

Se escogió uno de los 8 símbolos auspiciosos del budismo, la concha o caracol que tiene diferentes interpretaciones alrededor del mundo. En la cosmovisión budista simboliza el sonido del Dharma esparciéndose en espiral para eliminar la ignorancia de los seres sintientes. Para los tibetanos el caracol de concha blanca es especialmente sagrado. El espiral gira hacia a la derecha, haciendo eco con el movimiento celestial del sol, la luna, los planetas y las estrellas en los cielos.

Our name and the symbol

In a recent pilgrimage across the mountain of Colombia inspired by the ongoing projects as well as those already completed, surged the name of Dharma Roots, the roots of Dharma, with the intention to return the ancient roots from the legitimate lineages and access a knowledge that is kept there to reach the highest point of realisation: the illumination.

One of the eight auspicious buddhist symbols was chosen, the shell or snail which has different interpretations all around the world. In the buddhist cosmovision it symbolises the sound of Dharma spreading in a spiral to eliminate the ignorance of all sentient beings.
