From a young boy I never hesitated to play with older children. As the youngest of four, I often found myself finding ways on how I could hangout with my older siblings and their friends. As typically the smallest person on the basketball court I was not afraid to guard the biggest player. In school, I continued to be courageous whether it was adressing a professor in their own bias and micro-agressions. Being courageous has lead me to discover depths about myself and helped me to ensure that my voice is heard.
I have learned that with the right motivation that the sky is not the limit and I could reach new heights I've never imaged. Graduating from one of the top schools not only in the state or nation, but in the entire world was something I once thought was unattainable. No matter what sector of my life I have learned how motivation can make even the simplest of task enjoyable such as making my bed every morning, or planning, organizing, and executing a large event. My motivation drives my why and is the reason I am who I am today. It is the reason I am a change maker and will continue to grow and leave my imprint in this world.
One of the identities about myself I value the most is being interactive. I enjoy being around people and often my energy comes from engaging with others and knowing my presence is radiant. I have seen through my involvement in sports, the classroom, and other leadership areas that I can positively influence those around me. Being interactive has contributed to my strong communication skills and being approachable.
